About Aspinwall House
Aspinwall House is a sea-facing heritage compound on the Fort Kochi waterfront, once the offices and warehouses of Aspinwall and Company, the trading firm founded here in the 1860s. Its sheds, lofts and courtyards have been the principal venue of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale since the first edition in 2012, when works by 44 artists were shown here. The compound is open to the public mainly during the Biennale and related programmes. The sixth edition, For the Time Being, ran from 12 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. The seventh is announced for 2027–28 with Kader Attia as curator, and its opening date and venue list had not been published when this page was written.
