Things to do in MG Road

MG Road is the commercial spine of Ernakulam, lined with the city's big textile and jewellery showrooms, older cinemas, hotels and restaurants. The Kochi Metro viaduct runs above it, with MG Road, Maharaja's College and Ernakulam South stations a few minutes apart, so it is the easiest part of the city to reach without a car. Around Padma Junction and Pullepady, Spotlight Socials hosts touring stand-up comedians and small gigs. Ernakulam Junction, the main railway station, is at the southern end. Most events here are indoor shows, store launches, hotel-banquet exhibitions and workshops, and traffic is slow in the evenings.
