About Changampuzha Park
Changampuzha Park is a small public park and cultural venue on the highway at Edappally, named after the Malayalam poet Changampuzha Krishna Pillai, who was born in the locality. The Greater Cochin Development Authority maintains the park, and the Changampuzha Samskarika Kendram, a cultural society, is based there. Its 40-foot-square open-air platform is used for Kathakali, traditional theatre and drama, and the regular calendar includes classical music concerts, Kathakali evenings and Kavyamoola poetry gatherings, along with a weekly meeting for senior citizens. The park also has a children's play area and recreation rooms with chess and carrom. Programmes are aimed at the neighbourhood and are generally free to attend.
