LuLu Mall at Edappally Junction opened on 10 March 2013 and is one of the largest shopping malls in India, with about two million square feet of floor area and more than 300 outlets. Its attractions go beyond shopping: a nine-screen PVR multiplex with 4DX and gold-class halls, an ice-skating rink of 5,000 square feet, and the Funtura leisure zone with rides, an arcade, a 12-lane bowling alley and a climbing wall. The central atrium is used for product launches, film promotions, celebrity appearances, festive installations and seasonal shopping events. The Kochi Marriott Hotel stands next to the mall, and a skywalk connects it directly to Edapally metro station.
