About Pepper House
Pepper House is a waterfront heritage building on Calvathy Road in Fort Kochi, a former spice godown of two long tiled-roof wings around a central courtyard, with one side opening to the street and the other to the harbour. It has been a Kochi-Muziris Biennale site since the first edition in 2012, and the Kochi Biennale Foundation uses it between editions for residencies and public programmes. The foundation's calendar for late 2026 lists artist presentations here by Ratu Saraswati on 6 November and Caroline Garcia on 13 November, both at 1 pm. For anyone visiting Fort Kochi outside a Biennale year, it is the place most likely to have contemporary art programming.
