About Wonderla Kochi
Wonderla Kochi is the amusement and water park on a hill at Pallikkara, about 12 km from the city centre beyond Kakkanad. It opened in 2000 as Veegaland and was rebranded Wonderla in 2011. The park covers 30 acres of landscaped ground and has more than 60 rides, split between dry rides, from children's carousels to high-thrill coasters, and water rides with wave pools and slides. It was the first park in India to gain ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and OHSAS 18001 for safety. Wonderla runs themed celebrations around Onam, Christmas and New Year and is the standard school-holiday and college-group outing for the whole of central Kerala.
