JT PAC, the Jose Thomas Performing Arts Centre, is a 700-seat theatre inside the Choice School campus at Tripunithura. It opened on 26 February 2009, founded by Jose Thomas, chairman of the Choice Group, with actor Mohanlal as chairman of the centre. The opening production was The Rhyme by Soorya Krishnamoorthy, and by 2013 it had staged about 165 shows. Performers who have appeared here include Pankaj Udhas, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariprasad Chaurasia, Amjad Ali Khan and Naseeruddin Shah, and Mohanlal played Prospero in a Malayalam version of The Tempest in 2009. Today its calendar mixes touring stand-up, mentalism and magic shows, plays, concerts and Bharatanatyam arangetrams.
