Things to do in Tripunithura

2 events in tripunithura across Kochi β€” mostly spiritual (1), comedy (1).

Tripunithura, about 7 km south-east of the city centre, was the seat of the Cochin royal family and remains Kochi's classical arts town. Hill Palace, built in 1865 across 54 acres, is now a museum run by the state archaeology department. Sree Poornathrayeesa Temple holds the eight-day Vrischikolsavam in November–December with elephants, percussion ensembles, Kathakali and Carnatic concerts, and the Athachamayam procession opens the Onam season here on Atham day. RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, founded in 1956, trains performers, and JT PAC, a 700-seat theatre in the Choice School campus, hosts plays and touring comedians. The metro reached Tripunithura in March 2024.
