Things to Do in Kochi This Week
98 events matching right now across Kochi — mostly workshop (18), nightlife (16), music (10), business (9). 15 are free.
The events below are the things to do in Kochi this week, refreshed daily from listings across Ernakulam, Fort Kochi, Kakkanad and the suburbs. If you're planning by interest: stand-up fans should look at Spotlight Socials near MG Road, Commons in Panampilly Nagar and JT PAC in Tripunithura, where touring comedians stop; football runs through the season at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kaloor, home of Kerala Blasters and, in 2026, of Forca Kochi; and Fort Kochi has a Kathakali show every evening. For daytime plans, Fort Kochi and Mattancherry are made for walking, with St Francis Church, the Chinese fishing nets, the Dutch Palace and the Paradesi Synagogue close together. Hill Palace in Tripunithura and the Kerala Museum at Edappally cover history, and cafés in Panampilly Nagar run art and craft workshops most weekends. The calendar is fullest from November to March, with the temple festival season, Christmas, the Cochin Carnival and New Year; the monsoon months from June to September push events indoors and bring Onam. The Kochi Metro covers the spine from Aluva to Tripunithura and the Water Metro links High Court with Fort Kochi, Mattancherry and Vypin, so much of this can be done without a car.

NUS Master of Technology (MTech): Preview, Entrance Test & Interview – Kochi
Good to know
- Use the Kochi Metro for anything between Aluva, Edappally, Kaloor, MG Road, Vyttila and Tripunithura. Trains start at 6 am (8 am on Sundays) and fares run from ₹10 to ₹60.
- Take the Water Metro from High Court to Fort Kochi, Mattancherry or Vypin. Tickets cost ₹20 to ₹40, and the boat is usually quicker than the road.
- Check closed days before a heritage outing: Hill Palace and the Kerala Museum shut on Mondays, the Dutch Palace on Fridays, and the Paradesi Synagogue on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Kakkanad and Infopark have no metro station yet. Use the Water Metro from Vyttila or a cab, and avoid the 5–8 pm weekday rush.
- From June to November, carry an umbrella and keep an indoor fallback; evening thunderstorms are common in October and November.
