Things to do in Marine Drive

Marine Drive is Ernakulam's backwater promenade, a 1.75 km walkway facing Vembanad Lake that runs from the High Court junction towards Rajendra Maidan. The Rainbow Bridge and the Chinese Fishing Net Bridge are its landmarks, and boat jetties along the edge sell harbour cruises. The public ground at the northern end is the city's usual site for large exhibitions, consumer fairs and festival-season shows, and the Federal Bank Kochi Marathon holds its bib expo there. The High Court Water Metro terminal next door is the hub for boats to Vypin, Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. Mangalavanam, a small mangrove bird sanctuary, lies behind the High Court.
