Things to do in Bolgatty & Mulavukad

Bolgatty is the local name for Mulavukad, the island facing Marine Drive across the harbour channel. Bolgatty Palace, built by the Dutch in 1744, is now a heritage hotel run by the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, with lawns and an event ground used for concerts and weddings. At the island's northern end, the Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty and the adjoining Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Centre, both opened in 2018, host the city's largest conferences, expos, award shows and New Year galas. The Goshree bridges, built in 2004, link the island to the High Court junction, and the Vallarpadam basilica is on the next island.
